Great moment...

A student of mine who has struggled to read his whole life, walked in class yesterday and asked, "Can I read today?" Then he sat and read a chapter book all by himself. It was his first book he ever read by himself. I'm so glad that happened first thing in the morning. It gave me a lift the whole day!
