Something to think about

I was listening to Ravi Zacharias as usual (it tends to be my morning devotion time), and he made a statement that I just had to write down and share:

He states:

"We've bought into this idea that you engineer emotions in the one hour of church. We manufacture feelings, and then we send our youth (paraphrase) out. The net result is that the lifestyles are no different to the people or those around them who don't believe the same thing they do. It is going to take a huge recovery effort. We are losing this battle in our churches by not giving our young people the credit to think and go deeper into the understanding of the nature of truth and why it is that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. When we manufacture emotions, then emotions stand in isolation. They should remain in tandem."

His colleague then stated:

"The Bible says to be transformed by the RENEWING of your mind, not the REMOVAL of your mind." ha!

You can listen to Ravi at the following site: rzim.org. This particular question answer time was at the Roxi on the program "Just Thinking."

Hey, I've just written a chorus for Jr. Camp and guess what it's based on? Yep, Renewing your mind. Their verse for camp is "Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.' How about that!! We're on the same page again. LOL!
