Amazing evening...

I will have to post pictures later. They tell the story better than I can.

Two nights ago was the opening night of a new professional baseball stadium about five minutes from our house. It's been under construction for awhile, and last month we heard that Taiwan baseball would be hosting an international tournament there. Thursday night Taiwan played Italy. Last night they played Japan. So we decided to go last night.

First of all, it's cheap entertainment. For less than $30, the entire family gets to watch about 20,000 people yell and scream, bang and rattle noisemakers, and have an all out good time. The baseball is good, too. We got to see four or five double plays, some great catches, a couple of balls got hit out of the park, and there was even a pickle or two.

But the best part was during the 8th inning, when a foul ball was hit directly at us. I was holding San, saw the ball coming my way, ducked, knowing I didn't have a glove, the ball rolled off of a guy two rows back, then it bounced into our row, and Bubs came up the winner! So we got a game ball to boot.

You would think that would be the end of it, but it's not. We came home to see if ESPN was going to show the game, and it was ON! So every time there was a runner at first, the first thing we could pick out was T's SpongeBob Squarepants shirt, and then we could see each of us. So funny. We were up past midnight watching ourselves on TV. It's really weird!

So that was our amazing evening. T will be moving the pictures to my computer later...not sure when because he's traveling today, but soon. Keep an eye out for them!
