Nathaniel

In relation to our family as a whole, Nathaniel, it seems, is the odd one out. Not odd as in strange, just odd as in different from the rest. Christopher and I were talking and laughing about that last night. While the rest of us are pretty laid back and reserved (yes, even Christopher fits that to some extent), Nathaniel doesn't have a laid back bone in his body. He's a very driven young man.

First, he hates being the youngest. Absolutely hates it. His biggest wish is that he was older. He sees no difference between himself and his brothers, and there is at least a four year difference.

Second, he is a driven little guy. His latest venture shows this. He has combined his old love and obsession (legos) with a new love and obsession (making movies). So for now, Nathaniel is making lego movies. To put on youtube. It is fun watching him work, because he is so meticulous. He will take a one second shot, move a figure, take another shot, move it again...so that in the end we have these stop-start animated movies. He's getting pretty good at it.

I love that in a family, there can be so many differences in personality (temperament), perspective (birth order) and yet we all still live together in love and relative harmony. (I said RELATIVE harmony!)

So here's to Baby Boy, who is no longer baby boy, but will always be his Mama's Baby Boy! He's a go-for-it kind of guy, and we just love him to death for it.
