Track and Field Day

Today was track and field day, which means that Spring is here full force! It's a fun day that we all look forward to every year. I enjoy it very much.

Timothy had a great day. He broke the school record for the 400m. He said he wasn't trying to beat the record, he was just trying to beat his friend Isaac. ha! They have a really good friendship, and encourage each other in sports, challenge each other to do better...it's a good match between the two of them. Isaac broke the record, too, but since Timothy beat him, he got his name on the records list.

Christopher was CRAZY and ran the 800, 400, 200 and then did the long jump and shot put. He didn't win any records, but had a blast just running from event to event.

San was just happy to be out of the classroom. ha! He hasn't quite learned what "sprint" means, and usually saunters along. It's very cute.

I worked the high jump pit. It was so funny. One little girl walked up to line to jump, started crying and walked away. I just love watching kindergartners take it all in.

A friend of mine is here from Hong Kong. She and I both love helping kids with special needs, and it's good to pick her brain. Plus, Meg is always so bubbly and she knows EVERYONE. ha!

OK. I'll post pictures soon. Tomorrow promises to be another hectic day...T traveling, me and Meg getting together, plus laundry, grocery shopping.... WHEW.

Love to all!

Thanks for the update. Field Day sounds like so much fun...especially for the kiddoes. Wish we could have been there to enjoy the fun. Have a great weekend!

Love you lots,
Mom
You would have loved it! Mom and Dad Hughes flew in once on Track and Field day. They were jet-lagging, but really enjoyed seeing the kiddos out there competing and hanging out with their friends.

The hectic pace is about to slow down. Spring Break is only two weeks away!!! :)

Love you!....
