I just can't help giggling at the idea of being "tootled" but I don't suppose it's any stranger than being "bibbed" or "hooted". I don't even know if "tootled" is a word but if it isn't, it should be.
I love slightly off signs. Of course, if we're talking about safety signs or life and death, then professional translation agencies should always be used but it would be a dull world if every single translation was always 100%.
