DANG!

You know how you have a sense sometimes of the things your kids can do? Well, we've had that inkling about Timothy, Christopher and Nathaniel concerning baseball.

Given the fact that they haven't really played REAL baseball before, we weren't sure how they would do. Let me just say, though, that we were pretty close in our perceptions of their skills.

First, Nathaniel. He's just a natural. He has a feel for the game, and a natural ability that is fun to watch. He also has been blessed with an awesome group of coaches, who see the job as a training time in the rules of the game. They give some great instruction, and he's learning fast.

Second, Bubs. The boy can PITCH. He was striking his team mates out. No lie. One coach asked him if he wanted to pitch (seeing he is left handed) and Bubs being Bubs said, "Sure." His first five pitches he threw four strikes. Today, he added a knuckle ball. It was sweet. He's absolutely loving it.

Third, Timo. That guy throws like a rocket. He's not allowed to pitch, because he's on the older end of the league, so they have limits, but he can get that ball to anywhere he wants on the field, and FAST. No arch in the ball. Just a line drive to wherever he wants it. He's also a switch hitter, so he's having fun with that.

SO...we're having some fun Saturdays during the next six weeks. :)
