Em's Home

Well, Em had a great time in Japan. They won 3rd place, and her last game was a busy one, with Em racking up 14 saves. They won that game 3-1. She said she didn't get to see much of Japan, though. They stayed on the military base. She did come home with about 6 bags of candy, though.

The kiddos are getting down to their last days of school. Em will have her Junior/Senior banquet tomorrow night, and her senior trip next week. Timothy is spending the night at a friend's house, planning some paintball and a movie night with friends. Christopher has a big group of friends (including a lot of girls!) that he hangs out with and Nathaniel is planning some time at the pool. It's feeling a lot like summer time around here!

The campus is going through some changes as well. I've been busy boxing up my classroom. It's going to be moved to the Science building basement when they start tearing the buildings down in a couple of weeks. There's a new building project going on, and things are in full swing. A few weeks ago, some of the larger trees were prepared for moving, this week new temporary classrooms have been built in preparation for next school year, and the familiar flagpoles at the front of the school that display the flags of the many countries that are represented at this international school were removed yesterday. Things really are a-changin'!

Everyone keeps saying we've picked a good year to go stateside. Maybe, but we are going to miss this old campus! I guess that's where we are at this point in our lives. Lots of change. The dynamics in our house will shift a bit with Em moving on. She's a solid soul. Yet with all of the change, I still can't wait to see what is in store for her. We'll soon see, won't we?
