What Season Is It?

Well, we had our first game of the season. Timothy was able to join the JVB team, which means he is going against high school players. It's neat for him, but I'll tell you right now there's a HUGE difference between 7th grade play from last year and JVB play this year. It's a tad scary watching it. But, so far, Timo's holding his own.

A new sport is in our house now. Swimming. I have little to no experience with this one, so it should be fun. Christopher is the diehard swimmer. I think he would stay in the water all day if you let him. He was singled out today during instruction time and the coaches had him demonstrate his start for everyone, which included high schoolers. It's not an easy sport. It means getting up at 5:30 twice a week and staying until after 5:30 the other three days a week. This means managing his schoolwork a little differently, so it's been an adjustment, but he's handling it. He has a meet at the end of the month, so hopefully one of us will be able to go and I can get some pictures up.

Em's getting buff from her weight training class. She enjoys the class, and she has it for the whole year, so by the time soccer comes around next Spring she should really be fit. She enjoys weight training, and the school just received about $40,000 in new weight training equipment. A donation which was much needed. It's so different working out with state of the art equipment, that's for sure. Anyway, Em's got some girlfriends over and they're enjoying their weekends this year. I think they're seeing the urgency of getting as much time together as they can!

San is, well, San. What can I say? He's doing great in school, is taking on the 4th and 5th graders in dodgeball every recess, is taking on his chores around the house (I have the cutest picture of him doing dishes with T's slippers on)and is just doing a great job just being San. You just gotta love him. Legos still reign supreme. Especially Star Wars Legos. He's playing with them as I speak.

OK. I'm off! I hope everyone has a great day....
