King Tut

So a few weeks ago T treated the family to a trip to the museum to see the King Tut exhibit. It's the last time it will be allowed to tour in the States, so if you want to see it, see it now!

In looking through the exhibit, it was amazing to see the things that were three thousand years old. I think some of our favorite items were the personal items. Of course the necklaces filled with gold and jewels were beautiful, but the small chairs for the child king were really neat. They had carvings or paintings on them that referred to Tut as a child, and were really touching. There were also the little games like Senet and Nine Men's Morris that were on display. Little sandals, mirrors, etc... they all gave a glimpse into what life was like in the pharoah's palace. Amazing stuff.

We weren't allowed to take pictures, so instead I thought I would give another throwback to King Tut, but from more modern times. Here's to King Tut.

Ask Tim if he remembers Mike & Christy Boys doing this skit in the youth group at Wick?
